A Ministry of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church

 

Paul's words recorded in Philippians 4:12 are very valuable to us today, "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether living in plenty or in want." If we could just live by those words today, the commandment about covetness would not even be an issue. Our relationship to the Lord helps the covetness issue. As we pray for wisdom and strength to do and to be all that God desires us to be, then true contentment becomes a reality. One side note with Philippian passage, Paul was in prison. He was practicing what he was preaching.
