Danny and his wife Sandra both grew up in Roanoke, Virginia where they met in the high school band. They were married in 1982 and have two adult children. And one amazing grandson, “Peanut”. 

He answered the call to ministry late in life after having been a nurse for many years. He is a two-time graduate of the College at Southeastern. And holds a Master of Arts in Church Revitalization degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His spiritual passion is teaching God’s word and feeding the hungry. His belief is no one should ever go hungry either spiritually or physically.     

When not studying for a sermon, Danny enjoys reading, cooking, and of course, eating! He will tell you he has many favorite passages of scripture but two in particular are: 2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” And Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
